Most people give up when things get tough. This is universal knowledge. Hell, most people give in at the thought of how tough something could be.

Gyms have more absentee members than actual users. Car park users would rather cruise the storefront than slide into an open space at the back. And we'd rather get a chocolate bar delivered by scooter than haul ourselves off the sofa.

Running a business is one of the hardest things you could ever do. The experience will be negative. Sure, it's going to be positive, but let's focus on your negativity bias here. Let's call it out; you're going to struggle in ways you never thought possible.

The best piece of advice I ever got was to focus on a growth mindset. A growth mindset focuses on solutions, not problems; if you look hard enough, you can see a lesson in every negative experience. These lessons, however small, are powerful and worth so much more than the experience from which they were born.

If you don't take the lessons and use them, you will not survive. The wonderful thing is that you get to choose.
