I have struggled with anxiety since I was a kid.

I remember one day, prior to doing a presentation, being confused about what I was feeling - anxiety or excitement?

My default mode was to feel anxious.

But then it hit me that I couldn't differentiate between anxiety and excitement, because they can feel the same - the churning stomach and the constant surge of adrenaline at the thought of performing.

So I decided that I was excited.

I believed it.

I did great.

Having the power to choose is liberating. It doesn't always work, but when it does, it's a win.
